    CP88 Pistol Cleaning

    Hi I shoot a matt black CP88 pistol and I was wondering what I should be cleaning the pistol with to keep the paint work looking good.

    As these are alloy and wont rust I use a microfibre cloth or duster.
    I suspect oil discolours the paint.
    I have seen lots of paint problems on second hand ones but not on my new ones which I have kept oil free.
    So I might be right.

    Umarex say use an oily cloth in some manuals.
    But if you put an oily pistol in its foam box it will not be happy.

    Completely unrelated to the cleaning issue, but how do you find the CP88? I'm looking for a pistol to use in the garden and this is on my short list.
