    Daystate question

    How do i remove the original blued and knurled bolt knob on a MK1 Daystate Huntsman?? I want to fit the brass version which is held by grub screws,is the original screwed and loctited on to the bolt??
    Just thought i'd get an idea of what im doing before i reach for the toolbox

    Unhappy Same problem

    See the 'Stubborn Grub Screws' thread on page 3 as I got the same problem with my X2. I have followed the heating method with little success...the buggers will still not comeout!

    Going to try one of those hand-held tools to drill/grind them out tomorrow.

    Just tried heating it and trying to unscrew the end but with no joy
    What should my next attempt be

    Why not contact Daystate 01782 791755 after all they are about the most helpful manufacturer there is.

    seconded got two emails from daystate yesterday, one at 0927 and the other at 2250........wonder if they're still awake?

    Very early ones were stamped on (uncommon) and had two flats, most were glued and threaded in place, but you will need to shorten the shank of the bolt anyway, so you may as well cut it of with a hacksaw to the correct length.
