Graham (Baxterbasics) had Parker Hale Dragon single stroke pneumatic for sale - have a look in the for sales section
One of the best single strokes IMHO - I'm not planning on selling mine
Have been away from airgunning for 25 years but seem to recall there were single stroke pneumatics back then. Now it all seems to be PPS this and CO2 that, do the single strokes still exist and what's a good un for rat shooting ?
Have ordered a triple strike in the mean time - strictly for fun you understand !

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
No one seems to be manufacturing a single stroke pnematic at the moment.
They were ;
JB1
JB2
Titan Mohawk
Genesis
Parker Hale Dragon
and loosely Daystate sportsman(2 strokes)
They still turn up any totally original one s must be due a seals upgrade by now.Not too hard a job, beware the Dragons though gun smiths hate them as the seal which fails first(lower firing chamber)needs a complete disassembly to get to it.
cheers
Rob
...some of them cheap and cheerful like the Daisy 953 TargetPro carbine (5-shot .177 repeater) and Marksman 2004 pistol.
But all of the current production (that I know of) are strictly 2 to 5fpe target guns and none is suited for critters larger than mouse or sparrow.
As has been mentioned already, for hunting-capable power, the 2nd-hand market is the only option.

i bought a 1986 genesis - unused and boxed and with everything t came with, as new and in mint a1 condition for £695 at bar last week.
its an amazing piece of kit compared to the titan mohawk i had when they first came out. i used to change the piston o rings after each tin of pellets. it was under powered at 9ft/lbs too.
n
my genesis is set at just under 12ft/lb
HW40 and Webely Nemisis are single stroke pneumatics `s
Both can be got here http://www.airgunbuyer.com/Showprodu...less%20Pistols
I have a HW40 on its way to me next week from a forum member
I've had 2 Dragons, one in a target stock.
Very quiet & capable at 40 yards with excellent triggers and I prefered the sporter stock.
Mine didn't need any attention but I've heard of servicing problems etc.
I "think" I may have a trigger somewhere if anyone needs one.
HTH, Regards, Ed
There is a Parker Hale Dragon .22 on sale here ... (in the Sales section!)

Hello there BB, you have a PM
I am dedicted to keeping these guns alive, the 'Sporter' trigger block, sears etc are identical to the FTR model (Field Target Rifle) probably because Graham Bluck when designing the Dragon range insisted on a quality trigger for all models. The only difference being no safety catch and a brass blade trigger on the FTR. The two stage trigger can be set up very accurately and works extremely well with consistant pull weights on first and second stage and a nice crisp break. I set them up using a digital trigger pull gauge. I see many Dragons where the triggers have been 'got at' not nice! As a competetive shooter correct trigger settings are absolutely essential to accuracy. The Dragon trigger if set up correctly is as predictable and consistant as my Ripley AR5S and my AA EV2 Not bad for a gun of that age!Originally Posted by Ed W
I resolved the seal issue some years ago by using a different type to aircraft spec and machining the required parts. I took on all the available parts when PH closed down at Golden Hillock site
Please email me for further info etc also see recent posting on Dragons and Phoenix

You are absolutely correct about seal issues due to age and the issue concerning what I asume you mean the 'Valve Base seal' sorry to be piccy but that is the PH part description
I have resolved this problem some years ago by changing seal type and machining components as required
Dragon servicing is 'unusual' which is why, as an enthusiast and engineer, I have specialised in it and am dedicted to keeping this gun 'alive'

Hi Adrian,
I'm after a set of seals for a .177 Parker Hale Dragon, & you're the man recommended to me, are you selling them?
Regards,
Malc.
Been away for 25 years and recall single strokes???? That would be 1980...and I was 15 and heavily into shooting. Don't remember any SS other than a Bowkett in the early 80's. My LAISAR 12 came out in 1987 and this was based on a Bowkett design. Full 12ftlbs in .177 and I think only 6 were made. One went to Graham Bluck and was the inspiration for the Dragon.
If anyone wants pics etc mail me 'cos I don't spend much time here.

Edit:
Pics now here

hi bb.
was looking at a daystate mk ii in good overall condition and shooting good at ueroguns near Doncaster 01777 817809 AT £150.
HAVE A JOHN BOWKETprototype stamped j bowket 1/82 fn 10 small single stroke carbine in .22doing 11.5ft/lb consistantly side lever has to be fetched right round the gun, like the webley senior but side ways.
blow off valve set manually each time you fire it, pellet inserted by push and turn knurled head.
pellet on pellet at 25 yds it takes a while to get to the shooting stage but boy it sure is a sweet thing to shoot
is it for sale???? you must be joking , i would part with the rapid first.
