    Haenel Mod 2 DRP

    Hi

I have a Haenel Mod 2 DRP in original condition that will require a full restoration, the cocking mechanism requires some attention. I have had it for sometime and had intended to restore it as a project but time does not permit.

Is anyone interested in this as a project?

    cheers

I'm interested, but any chance of a picture or two? Failing that, an honest description of surface condition and the problem with the cocking mechanism? Is this the early (Diana 27 type) or later (BSA lookalike) version?

    Hi

I have some pictures and can email them if you want to PM me your email address that way you can see the condition.

From other comments I think the cocking arm needs some welding so that it engages properly with the piston, it works if you hold the arm tight to the cylinder and will fire. The trigger mechanism will require stripping and servicing. The gun is 70 odd years old and has not had any tlc for a longtime but it is not heavily rusted.
