    Webley .177 circa 1969

I have a Webley Junior .177 air pistol that I bought around 1969, and hasn't been used for 35+ years. I cant find a serial number anywhere, there is 177 stamped on the end of the spring holder and also 177 stamped under the left hand side pistol grip, would these be the serial number.

As its been stuck in a cupboard all these years I am now looking to sell it, the condition is not great but should still be fully functioning, can anyone advise if there is any value in this item.

    Many thanks

The stamping on the end of the spring guide and under the grip are production batch numbers - and these are not unique as they were used over again. Webley used serial numbers up to the outbreak of WW2, but when production restarted in 1945 they abandoned serial numbers for factory production batch numbers.

Is yours still with its original box, as if so that will affect the price.

    Hi,

I would estimate the value of a reasonable, unboxed Junior of this vintage at around £40-£60 for a private sale.

    Regards
