    Electronic scoring target.

    Hi

Has anybody built an electronic target that registers the shot and can then register scores on a PC?

The price of the commercial ones is prohibitive and with to days IR detectors etc surely it should be practical to make one.

    Thanks

Also wi-fi would be good - come on there must be loads of clever people ready to take up the challenge!

    Hi
I have just heard of this one on a French forum: http://www.targetshootingapp.com/
Just saw it, not tried it yet.

Hi yes thanks, that looks really useful and I had seen it; sadly it will not work on my phone or tablet.

But I am looking for a target I can shoot at and read the hit (or miss!) remotely on a laptop or tablet.

    Please keep looking, many thanks.

That's what my local range has. Works on very sensitive microphones apparently that plot the impact point precisely. Don't think there's much on their site about the technology, but you might get more from the parent company, MS Instruments (I think).

That is a great site with lots of good coaching advice.

I used this link as my Russian is a little rusty!

    http://www.scatt.com/

They use a laser on the gun, a mic to hear the 'dry' shot (no pellet - is that good for a gun?) now I guess they have some sorts of camera to pick up the laser from the back of the target?

And then the software to bring it all together..

Keep the info and thoughts coming please people.
