Think you'd be bet taking it up with the shop it came from mate.
If someone told where the anti tamper was you removed it then the gun could easily be turned up as well as down. Could quite easily go over power which is a massive no no
Howdo , one of the lads at the club has just bought a BSA R10 fro a dealer . only doing 10 foot pounds . i take it they have a anti Tamper . where is it and how do you get it out . cheers HOLLY

Yes that would be the idea . the shop will obviously not do that . the ability to control the power under the legal limit gives you control of the rifles power . if the gun goes over it is down to the shooter . it does not matter if there is a fault and with the anti tamper still intact it goes over for any reason ( not unknown ) it is down to the person who owns the rifle . our club has a chrono and it is used to make sure all the club rifles are legal . so the question remains . where is it and how do you get it out . cheers HOLLY

You really have to return it to the shop to sort it out for you as it is under warranty. It maybe an incorrectly set regulator as well as an incorrectly preloaded valve spring. Discussing the AT is a taboo subject in the air gun forums. You may want to have a look at the you tube videos posted by XTX AIR for servicing of some of the BSA guns and it may prove to be of some use. Yours is the fourth post in the last few weeks that complains about the low power out put of a new PCP air rifle, curious!!!
All it could require is a change of pellet! One of my guns will do about 10 ft lb with AA Field, with JSB Heavies it is 11.4 ft lb!
OK thanks ??? HOLLY
