Hi, my name is Mark, I am a member of the RMTC and this is my first post on here. Does any body know of any body who can fix the electronic trigger on the Fwb 90 pistols. Thanks.

Try your two local experts Dave Mercer at DM Airguns and Firearm Repairs (Bolton) or Bob Clevely at Checkmate Guns (Chorley).

Bob is Feinwerkbau factory trained and is close to you.

Dave Mercer is also close to you and is a very good gunsmith who has always done a good job for us when we have used him.

I have sent you a text with both of their contact details so you should be able to get it sorted fairly quickly.

    Fwb 90

    Hi,
Have been in touch with D Mercer, and told he cannot fix the electronic trigger, as it's a specialist job?

Also some has been in touch with Checkmate guns and he cannot fix?

FWB apparently do not supply the parts anymore.

If you do find someone, let me know.

    Regards
    Mike

The most common faults with the 90 trigger not working is due to battery failure but not diagnosed, a break in the wiring & dirty solenoid all of which are easily fixed.

    hope this helps

Have you tried Centra UK, the current FWB importers?

    Or FWB themselves?

    http://www.feinwerkbau.de/en/Kontakt/Contact-form

Be a shame to break it if all it needs is some electrickery done to it. I wonder if a knowledgeable electrical person might be better than a gunsmith? Say someone who mends IT hardware, or makes RC aircraft?

Just some random thoughts. Good luck.

I was told some time ago that the usual problem with the Model 90 trigger failing or working slow is a dirty sellenoid

If you are lucky and this is all that is wrong with it then cleaning it may help to fix it but if it is a mechanical failure then that is a different story but FWB spring pistols seldom fail so lets hope that is all it needs.

Sounds like you have nothing to loose so you may as well give it a try.

There are some internet guides to cleaning the solenoid - not an easy operation, but achievable by the looks of it.

    Fwb 90

    Hi,
Yes, I have tried centra-uk, and they have told me the same story, cannot repair.

To be honest have tried everywhere, and it seems to me that you have to try and get a "local" electronics co to try and fix,

but IMHO it is a long shot (they may not want to deal with a pistol, the electronics may not fit in the grip?)

I have not been able to find a gunsmith who will tackle this, all the FWB specialists as far I was able to contact, hopefully wrong, will not tackle this!

Again if someone can tell where this can be resolved, would be most grateful, at the moment , I have done all I can to resolve this.

    However, never say never?

    Regards
    Mike

PS Yes have also contacted FWB(Germany) and they will not service it as they do not have PCB/solenoid in stock anymore1

As an electronic technician I could have a look at it for you. I cant guarantee anything but its worth a try before you break it for parts.

And I have a working one (at the moment) that Bernard could compare it to if necessary (we're in the same club).
