    Very nice motor.

Back roughly on topic? I luckily have a proper 604. Anyone know if the 6004 seals fit it? I think I heard they do.

    Cheers.

    Do you have the manual?

If so, check the measurements as they're in there.

    Piston O ring is

    17.13 x 2.62 Viton

    Barrel O ring

    6.75 x 1.78

I believe you can get the full set of (6) seals (plus the felt wiper) for a complete AP 604 rebuild from: http://checkmateguns.co.uk/

(Thanks for the Scooby info James. My lad will be well interested - Phil )

Thanks, James. Afraid all I have is the gun, no manuals or other papers. I have seen seal kits offered on Ething cheap, but suspect that's just some guy flogging things he found at B&Q and would like to treat mine right (the breech seal is past its best).

These are the exact same piston seals as original, perfect dimensions and Viton as stated in the manual. Not cheap but I've tried 2 other types. Mine should be here tomorrow so I'll let you know what they're like.

If you've not changed it before it'll be way past it. When I got mine I could cock it, leave it 20 sec and it'd be dead of air.

It had a bite out the original o ring where it passes the intake hole.

I previously bought some supposedly good silicone o rings but that literally split to pieces within 50 shots. And they are a definate no no.

And just found out BAR list the seal kit and felt ring for £16.95. Bit pricey.

Guess you could always fire an email to Chiappa asking if you can buy a seal kit. They may sens you one FOC like my bits.
