Martini Henry Ammunition Case?

I picked up what appears to be an empty military wooden ammunition case which has 577/450 Martini Henry stencilled on it in some scrap wooded boxes I was given.
It's about three and a half feet long and one foot wide and high (these are estimates as I have not measured it.)
And has a sliding top, and a rope handle each end.
Is it worth hanging on to or is it fire wood?

All about condition. There are repros around, but if it looks (and is) genuine then of course it isn't firewood. Unless the woodworm have got to it

Might be a film prop, too, from 'Zulu Dawn' or even 'Zulu'.

Is there any lining? Should be tinfoil.

Put a pic up as sometimes they rip the tin lining off

No tin lining or woodworm, I couldn't open the sliding top when it first turned up but it has dried out now and opens easily.
The top was screwed down at some time with brass screws I assume, as the whole thing is assembled with brass screws.
one handle needs a professional repair as the splicing has come undone on one side of one handle and the binding needs doing properly.
The boxes came out of an army barracks that was being closed, the guy used to clear them and break up redundant aircraft for a living.
I just stuck in the loft of the garage I will see if I can get it down and photograph it.
