Thanks to Charles, Terry & Chris for their organisation and Lea Valley for putting on splendid weather.

It was certainly a whole bunch better than the South had for what I guess was most of the day. I left the coast in torrents this morning but reached clear skies somewhere around Heathrow and drove back in to grot, including lightning and the remains of a severe hail storm just south of Gatwick; bad enough for it to have caused a pretty serious accident on the northbound A23, closing that side of the road.

Reckon heading north was entirely the right decision today.
