Obviously after my first near death struggle with Roland the nurses fell hopelessly in love with me during my recovery and fought a dual for my attentions. (I would be reading Airgun world so they would be wasting their time), the final scene would be something out of Platoon with Roland being riddled by lead from an ancient (the only factually true bit) MK2 Meteor. Credit would have to be given to the supporting cast of the BBS who advised stalking, baiting and patience. Not one of whom advised going to the UN or mediation....what the lefty liberals will make of your role in this affair will never be known until Michael Moore makes the inevitable documentary.

CARL AND THE RAT

One day as Carl left the house, he heard a noise, was that a mouse?
No, no it was much worse than that. It was a giant Kung Fuu Rat!
Carl thought "I'm really sunk". It's walking rice paper like a Shaolin monk.
Being a reasonable sort of man, he came up with his pacifist plan.
He thought that they could get along, but that is where Carl was wrong.
This was a nasty rat and he taunted Carl and his cat.
He would saunter down the garden path, point to them and just laugh.
After 5 months of this strife, he made the mistake that cost his life.
He told Carl "I'll make this clear. I want you both out of here.
You two are only my pitch. I'm king rat and you're my bitch"
Carl wasn't taking that, so he made his plan of attack.
Next day poor Ratty turned his back and Carl took his Meteor out the rack.
A Milbro Caledonian to the head. That was it, Ratty was dead.
Carl got his spade and dug a hole. Now there lies Ratty---Rest his soul.
