What is the best spring rifle for ratting?

worked at a food factory that was on a farm. we had a dairy on the same site. they had no problem with me taking in the superstar. one i would like to find again is the paratrooper. great ratter.

I should think the '77' is more than capable of doing the job, having Meteors, Ospreys and a 77 at your disposal I think your gonna have a job to find summat for £150 to match that little lot, just a suggestion but why don't you take the 150 and get one of your other rifles tuned/overhauled/customised !...👍

This^^^^ get the 77 a spit n polish tune with some new guides an Volla!! Done.. Or spend it on a quality scope, one of the two

If your going to pick it up with pliers make sure the pliers have very long handles
I've had two occasions in the last few years of ratting where the rat has been motionless on the floor for hours shot cleanly through the head then when I collect the carcasses at the end of the night I've jumped out of my skin as when picking it up with its final breath turned and bit the litter picker I use
So keep your hands well away from any 'dead' rat.
