    I don't think there is a definitive answer to this question.

    Good bump

    I do fear the worst he set out bravely in the Winter with his rifle and peanut butter and it's now almost Spring !!. Perhaps it's one of those stories with a happy ending ? Hunter falls in love with Ratty type thing

    More than two months, and still no word of a victor in this epic saga.
    I note the last line in the original post, right at the beginning of this thread - "I dont want to trap or poison the poor guy just get rid of him quickly"
    Some on Carlleylands - put us out of our misery please..
    Don't say you bought one of those low velocity .25 calibre guns and the pellet is still on it' way between barrel and ratty?

    mate of mine was after one rat for ages. his off the market SMK cheepo. i rock up with super and did for ratie rat rat. got permision from the dairy farmer.
    simple thing. i watched for a while. learned his runs. then got him. what i learned he had kids. got them too. his Mrs. she was raiding the eggs. got her.
    took a bit to get Mr rattie rat. had to shoot under him and ricochet.
    the only thing i can find wrong is the nut on the steering wheel.
