    Cometa Indian !

I find myself being "drawn to it" !
A bit of a "quirky pistol" I think but attractive all the same, should I bother ?

    What Cal's recommended ?

I don't have one, I cannot recommend anything but I thought I would offer some moral support.

I'm also drawn to this pistol for the same reasons as you!
Great Deals with : Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich

I've got one, and really like it, powerful, very accurate, nice trigger, very easy to cock (crank), really good quality, very refined feel for a Springer!
Have the nickel version, tempted to get the black one too.
    Really good value.

Had one...sold it within days, worst trigger I've ever come across.

    Same here

Always rather fancied one. There's a "Webley on steroids" thing about them.

I imagine that .22" is the best, just because it sort of ought to be.

Also always fancied the Rutten Winstar HS550 pistol, for the same reason...

Do you have the Indian available in .22cal?
I didn't think they made them, that would be fantastic!
Just fired off a few, to verify, the trigger is very smooth but short, and the kick is that of a springer yet controlled.
Very consistent shooter, deadly accurate, You could shoot it all day long. An eight year old could cock this thing!
    Shoots almost to 500fps!
This has to be amongst my very top rated target pistols, and in good company, I might add.

I've had a few of these.
As stated, they are very easy to cock as they have a rack and pinion arrangement.
They are let down somewhat by the plastic breach block and non-elevation adjustable rear sight.
The trigger is single stage and extremely creepy, you just have to pull and pull and pull and eventually the thing will go off.
They kick like a mule and exert a weird twisting force on your wrist when firing.
All in all a very quirky, powerful and likable pistol, but I sold mine for an HW45 which is better in every respect - buy one as a curio but be under no illusions about it's efficacy.

I have one too in .177 and the above sums the gun up perfectly!

I can't add any more to what's been said. I too looked for a .22 version but they don't do them, my plan was to get a second pistol and convert it but they are noT many for sale.

I have one and the best thing about it is it is really easy to cock because of the rack and pinion system. I don't remember it having a bad trigger but I have not shot it recently.
