I've used both 129 and 140gn SST's to great effect and found them excellent out of my Tikka. Just starting using Nosler Partition 140gn for a 'look see' following this article you might find interesting - http://www.ballisticstudies.com/Know...se/6.5x55.html - trouble is they're expensive compared to the SST.

For many years I used Sierra Game Kings 140gn SPBT, over 48gns Vit N560 running at 2700fps. Soft recoil very accurate and will drop anything that the UK can offer. Used in a Sako L691 and RPA Interceptor. I flirted with 120gn Speer SP and Nosler BT's but price v performance I favoured the SGK's.
    Anschutz 1427 .22LR Nikon Buckmaster SF 4.5-14x40, A-TEC Mod, Tikka M595 222Rem, Leupold 6.5-20x40LR, Howa 1500 APC 308Win, Nikko Diamond 6-24x50 FFP, wildcat Evolution, Sauer 202 243Win, Leupold 4.5-14x50LR, wildcat Evolution.
