    Rem 222

    Lyman book gives Reloader 7, 4198, 3031, 4895, 4064,4320, for 45/50/53/55gn FMJ. Recommends 4198, 3031 for best accuracy.

If I were a betting man, twist will be 1 in 14.

It's never easy to recommend powder (or components) for someone else's rifle, but when I owned a Tikka 595 in.222 my pet load was....

    H322 -23.2 GRAINS

BERGER VARMINT (MATCH GRADE) 50 GRAIN BULLET (MOLY COATED)

    LAPUA BRASS

    FEDERAL GOLD MEDAL MATCH PRIMER

You could spend a fortune buying 3 or 4 tubs of powder completely uneccesarily, and my advice to you is to buy a powder that is recommended for the calibre, and build up a load from there. Good quality brass that is prepared properly, and finding the right bullet for your rifle, is just as important as powder choice.
H322 gave extremely impressive and consistent results in my rifle with these bullets, and good load densities in the .222 case, but my rifle did not get on with either V-MAX, or NOSLER B-T's at all, HORNADY A-MAX gave similarly impressive results, but are not (technically) suitable for hunting.

**Please leave at least 10% off the above load if you do decide to try it, as it is in fact a tad higher than possibly recommended in some reloading data**

    Hope this helps.

I've found Vihtavuori N-133 to be very good in my 222.

I would have thought 133 would have been a tad slow for 222 but it is a long time since I reloaded it.
My original loads with 50s were RL7 130 and 4198. 10X may be worth a punt.

I couldn't get the 53gn Vmax stabilized in a 1:14 twist, my .222 chucked them through a target sideways even when stoked up way beyond max.
    To the op, rl7, h4198, h335, h322, Ramshot xterminator.
They have all worked well with 50-52gn bullets.

I find that N-133 gives a good case fill, burns clean and gives outstanding accuracy with 52gn A-max in my rifle. Vihtavuori recommend it for 222 but it's the only powder I've ever used so like you say a quicker powder might be better.

used all sorts over the years. Benchmark was probably the best. varget works very well to but as the stocks dried up i settled on N130 and still use it now. i never throw them down range with force 2650 was about when i ran them. one hole grouping if i did my job right.
