    Hopefully no problems have come from dry firing it, I've fired it since and it worked

    A single dry fire will not have hurt it.

    Although it's something that I would also rather not try, a while ago Jim Tyler did some dry fire testing to investigate recoil, surge and transfer port choking on one or two of his long-suffering rifles, with no detriment.

    Don't do it! I was firing into an argos catalogue in December. It scares the living daylights out of their staff and customers
