Yeah that's how they mostly come mate although in black cases from 2004 onwards.. I do think you have the first gen then as it was 2001 or just a slightly different vversion as it has plastic parts..

I have used them in my Swiss Arms P92.

No misfeeds or failures. I would assume a lower velocity but thats all!

    Cheers I think I will.

In the meantime. Here are some pics:

Def looks plastic to me, even if the photos don't show it well. You can see a seem down the edge just above the slide. On closer inspection I see the entire barrel can move up and down a little at the end. I think the front sight used to locate it. Looks like I'll have to get one now I know it does this.

hello mate, i have posted all this on UBC to, had a few replies and no one has known of a plastic barrel or sight version so im sure yours is metal, a tap test or weight test should tell you if its plastic or not, but if you still cant tell after that, you got scrape a bit of the paint off from the bottom of the barrel that will 100% tell you..

Here is my beretta when it was standard, looks like yours.. (the gloss finish could be mistaken for plastic i think)

Then i polished the barrel to a mirror finish and put some wood grips on.

Thanks Marc. I have joined up, just awaiting account activation.

The sight was def plastic as it snapped and split. And while I have no way of proving it, they barrel shroud feels plastic. It's warm compared to the metal parts of you know what I mean.

    Hi Ton, your welcome..

lol that is really strange mate, never mind though get yourself a metal one
yeah i know what you mean about the none cold feel of plastic, i tell you what though if it turns out your barrel is plastic, it will confuse the hell out of loads of us lol.. Not that is matters though a if it is, but you could be the only person with one which would be strange..

look forward to seeing you on UBC as well mate.

    Atb, marc.
