    Fitting a MK1 Rapid Barrel

Although the job it's self seems simple enough to do is there a way "set up" a barrel on a MK1 rapid when a new one is fitted?

    Many thanks

I insert the mag first, then puch barrel in fairly tight to mag, then do up top alignment grub screw loosley (so it aligns the port, but can still move back and forth a fraction, then push the barrel in more firmly in against the mag and tighten up the main cross clamp. remove and refit the mag a couple of times to make sure the tension is fine. The tighten top grub screw up (but not very tight), and then main clamp fully tight (moderate force here too). Make sure mag tenstion is fine still. then remove the bolt and shim the probe with the crinkle washer as required to get the right tension on the bolt where the probe seals against the barrel.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Just don't forget port hole facing down. A couple get caught out with this and then wonder why no air is coming out when shot.
