What put me off was a message that the forum was not protected?secure. I don't know how important this is.

I got the same message when I was going to join the Classic Air Pistol Forum.

the forum tends to have some spam posts from time to time
otherwise, didnt encounter any issues. been member for years

It went through a phase of having some quite unpleasant troll type posters a few years a go, but now is generaly quite good.
