    HW Trigger Block Warning

    Hi chaps

Anyone know when Weihrauch started the Warning engraving on Trigger blocks or rear of cylinder?

I understand from HW that it started on different models at different times/serial numbers but we may be able to bracket the era if we relate the marking and serial number!

Just one of those nagging little bits of trivia which niggle away at we students of the airgun!

One warning with regards to the HW trigger block is how sharp the edges are where the trigger slot has been milled. And Ive the scars to prove it.

    Hi Ian

Useful warning! I too had noticed this but no scars yet - I run a smoothing tool down it nowadays and touch up with a bit of blueing cream!

All saves the manufacturer a bit of cost if we do it for them!! I don't have any of the "modern" stuff from HW anyway although do come across it in pals' guns!

Wish they had never introduced it: spoils the look. Is it required to satisfy some mandatory law ? Would a simple peel off sticker not suffice (and be cheaper to produce) ? Do they do it in different languages for different countries ? So many questions.

    Anyway.

Please stop doing it Mr Vyy-rouww-chhh.
