Should be around 5 ft/lb whatever that equates to with your pellets.
Mine was almost bang on and very very consistent.
A'noon all,
Been up the range is morning on the pistols and noticed that every now and again I can actually see the pellet on route from muzzle to target so this prompted me to get my chrono to fit on the gun and test it. I've got RWS Hobbies atm, 7gr, and it's coming in at around 280fps which seems a tad low to me but wanted to see what the experts thought before acting on it.
All help and advice gratefully received.
Cheers

When I die don't let my wife sell my guns for what she thinks I gave for them!!!
Should be more like 460-480.
Sounds like a service is in order.
Cheers guys, I did wonder but wanted it confirmed by someone in the know.
Looks like I'm going shopping........
One of mine runs at about 430 fps, but is very consistent. The other puts out 500.
At only 240,yours is in need of attention I'm afraid.
I find Hobbies are an unpleasantly tight fit in all my 10m guns, and hard work to get into the breech.
I have stopped using them.

I wish I was in the land of cotton.
Check everything else before you strip it. The conical polyurethane seal that fits around the barrel breach when the action closes, and also a better fitting pellet as mentioned. The piston seal is a steel ring and works the same as on a car piston and usually does not give much problem, There is a polyurethane buffer on the end of the piston but this does not seal. If it is caused by internal problem it probably is the spring.
