Smile Who can repair Steyr Air cylinders

    Hi,

Searching for anybody who can repair Steyr Air Cylinders

The cylinder in marked 1997 and is the old fashioned type without a pressure guage build in. Instead it has a pressure sensitive fill indicator. I'm using it on a Steyr LP5

In use the cylinder randomly suddenly loses all pressure and vents the compressed air.

I have been told that the replacement of a O-ring on the pressure sensor is required.

Please advise if you are aware of somebody who may help

    Thanks

No it's not time for another cylinder just because the o-ring seal has broken down

Do you throw your car out when it needs a service ?

Got to love this kind of attitude.

Less than 30 posts in and he spits out a response like this to a member who is quite rightly suggesting that a 19 year old pressure vessel might be best retired.

    Fin de cloche.

I would send Steyr an email and ask the company where you can get one http://www.steyr-sport.com/index.php/en/

He can also ask Steyr what they think about continued use of a 19 year old cylinder.
And what Fin de cloche means.

No, but I would not use it if it became a risk to myself and those around me.

Call Harry Preston on 01904705401 STEYR UK.
    New cylinder about £100.
Speak to Harry first though about possible repair.
