Yay! Managed a plink!. Well, two sessions, actually!


I was just going to grab one of the 30Ss at first. But, I've got my mini-carbine 1377, 2240, 2240 mini-carbine and 2250XL, none of which have seen the light of day for yonks. All bought as short range plinkers but hardly ever getting used these days. I thought I had better get at least one of them out to give it an airing and make sure the seals etc were okay. So I chose the 1377. Now, this can be VERY accurate, but you really have to work for those groups due to the less than brilliant trigger and the light weight. Get it right and it'll one-hole at 14 yards. The slightest lapse in technique and groups open up alarmingly. Eventually got bored of the lack of boing!

Sometimes I just think I ought to sell the lot of them and that the money would buy another top end springer, TX, 97 or LGV. Might look into it!


After we'd been into town I got one of the little 30Ss out and had a most enjoyable 45 minutes. A boinging sesh without the BOING if you know what I mean. A back to basics break barrel, full of character and dead easy.

Next session will have to be one of the big ones!

Folks, if it is of interest, I came across a potential new supplier yesterday whilst in town.

I was a little disappointed when the place closed down that did us one or two hoodies last year. But the Mrs wanted to look in at this particular shop yesterday and, just two doors down, is a shop that can do is T-Shirts, Polos, Fleeces, Hoodies, Shell Jackets, Mugs, Brolleys, Bags, Mouse Mats, Keyrings, Phone Cases, Lanyards, Beer Mats........bloody hell, just about anything. And they'll do the embroidery and printing.

And prices seemed very reasonable.

If people were interested, I think the fairest way to do it is to get a logo in place and then people can just order their own stuff directly as they'll do mail order. That way, no question of anyone making money out of it and peeps can just order what they want.

As regards the logo, I really think that, whatever is chosen ought to be rubber-stamped by our founder and benefactor, Mick.

Maybe something along the lines of, "The Boinger Bash at Quigley Hollow Airgun Club"?

Or variations thereof?

And young Gwyn is usually very creative.
