Something New for Your Diaries and you can win cash TOO!

    MVAC - 2016 HFT Championship

    Format:

This new format has been set to test the shooters all round airgun shooting skills, against different
competition formats and rules. This will be done within the existing 2016 HFT competition calendar, and
the competition is open to club members and non-club members alike.

A series of 3 shoots will run to CSFTA, MEON & UKAHFT rules, the first one being the Bowman Classic
2016 with the other 2 shoots spread out over the following year. All competitors’ scores will be
accumulated for the 3 shoots and count towards the series’ final points score. No scores will be dropped.
First prize of £200 cash will go to the top open class shot with the highest total accumulated score at the
end of the 3 shoot series, along with £100 for either the springer / .22 or Junior with the highest
    accumulated score.

There will be a new MVAC Championship Trophy for this competition which will be awarded annually at
the Meon Valley Airgun Club Christmas dinner, along with a plaque for the combined top springer/ .22 or
    junior class.

    Classes:

The Series will be divided into 2 classes – Open class and a combined Springer/.22 and Junior (i.e. under
the age of 18 as of the date of the first shoot of the Series) class. No shooter will be permitted to shoot
the course unless their entry fee has been paid.

    Dates:

Date 12th June Round 1 - Bowman Classic HFT Course (Course to CSFTA Rules)

Date 2nd October Round 2 - MVAC HFT/FT Challenge (Course to MVAC Rules)

Date 27th November Round 3 – Southern Hunters (Course to UHAHFT Rules)

The highest gun score of the day will set the 100% benchmark for all classes.

    Badges:

Meon Gold, Silver and Bronze “Rat” badges will be awarded at the end of each round, once the course
has been cleared away to the Chief Marshall’s satisfaction. The “scale” used for the various grades of
badges can be seen in the table below.

Round 1 & 2 badges are included with entry fee, In the case of the Southern Hunters Round 3; Meon
badges must be purchased at £3 each from the Meon competition secretary, in addition to the Southern
Hunters badges available at that event.

Platinum badges will be awarded to any shooter who shoots all 3 rounds and wins a minimum of 2 gold
badges during the series. All 3 badges or proof of payments for 3 badges must be provided to qualify for a
    platinum badge.

There will be one session per round; gates open at 08.00am and booking-in will be from 08:30am until
09.45am. A safety brief will be held just before shoot starts and all competitors must attend. Round 1 & 2

    CSFTA rules in brief...
1" and 1.5" 'kills' which may not be visible from the peg.
    1-point Faceplate - 2-points 'Kill'.
    Targets from 8>45yrds.
Some part of the shooter or rifle must touch the peg.
Trigger finger must not cross firing line.
Positional shots are 'forced' by target placement.
The use of excessive Banter and 'P'-taking is mandatory.
