    mea culpa

    I was wrong : they built a 335 S - S for "Scheibenschießen" (target-shooting) with a less strong spring and dovetail with peep-sight.

And no back sight facility on the barrel and usually fitted with a Williams (6800?) sports peep sight.

So mine is a Target but someone decided to put a Walther diopter on it instead of a Williams peep.
But I do have a Williams on a Benjamin which I presume would fit.

There is several different types of Williams sports peep sights. i have seen a few re-badged as Beeman. Some are fixed to the side of the action (Sheridan etc.) some have sliding and therefore adjustable dove tails so will fit a variety of different rifles equipped with a scope rails but the one on the 335 Target is quite unusual in that the retaining screw goes down onto the action. I will take photos if required.

    Thanks Ian
Both of mine are side saddle.
The Benjamin is a Williams and the one on the Crosman 160 is a Crosman.

Both co2 guns which I assume you think are the work of the Devil.
Even though they are not Webleys.

    Regards

Quite to contrary. I picked up a Tau 7 CO2 pistol off here a couple of weeks ago and only last Weds I shot 5 x 49 ex 50. Try THAT with a Wobbly.

Looks the same as ordinary 335
But no provision to attach rearsight.

    Will email pic later.
When I was ba.sed in Germany my regiment used to keep a number of 335s in this configuration to use in the regimental shooting club. Last time I saw them they'd not been used in about 10 years.
Anschutz used to export the 335 and, in this case I would think that Weitscuss refers to the rifle having an export spring fitted.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.

Would like to add some words about "Weitschuss". AFAIK Anschütz did not produce two 355 versions (target-shooting and "pest control" = Weitschuss). Others might have done so and offering them with different stocks (and peep-sight etc.)
    355???
