    Hate to say it, but its the one that groups the best at your chosen range.

    Get a tin of a few good quality pellets such as H&N FTT, RWS dome and some JSBs and have some fun testing plus getting to know your rifle.

    Good advice above. I found that pellet testing also helped me to get to know my rifle - this is essential if you plan to hunt.

    However, I've also found my HW100 to be the least pellet fussy rifle I've ever owned. That said, the best pellet in mine is JSB Heavy (10.34gn). It's good over the Combro, excellent for long range targets and, it's very effective for hunting.

    There's no messin' about when barrel cleaning a 1.77 - instead of those silly little felt wads you just wrap a J-cloth round a broom handle and shove it through.
