Hate to say it, but its the one that groups the best at your chosen range.

Get a tin of a few good quality pellets such as H&N FTT, RWS dome and some JSBs and have some fun testing plus getting to know your rifle.

Good advice above. I found that pellet testing also helped me to get to know my rifle - this is essential if you plan to hunt.

However, I've also found my HW100 to be the least pellet fussy rifle I've ever owned. That said, the best pellet in mine is JSB Heavy (10.34gn). It's good over the Combro, excellent for long range targets and, it's very effective for hunting.

    Good luck in your search

    All of the above.

As said JSB Heavies, mine seems particularly fond of Daystate Heavies....

Nice. It was the OP's point that I was wondering about. (Should have suggested that he try one in 17.7 calibre too)....

There's no messin' about when barrel cleaning a 1.77 - instead of those silly little felt wads you just wrap a J-cloth round a broom handle and shove it through.

I always try JSB Exacts in any new rifle I get, first.

Never had one yet thats shoots them bad.

Best is hard to say but JSB Exact is always a good bet.

H&N FTT always worked well in mine but it's down to the individual rifle\barrel\shooter.

Good luck, 45mm is one hell of a calibre for a sub-12 airgun.

Makes me laugh when a grown person can't put one sentence together without making a mistake.

I got 2 hours sleep last night and have been on my feet since 6 this morning - what do you expect, a Pulitzer prize essay?...

Delete the words 'even' and 'own' - happy now?...
