    Question Rabbits...

Hello to all...and a question for you all.

On our premmission, we have just started shooting early mornings (5 till 10), (we used to shoot evenings 4 till 9).
I think the rabbits are not as inclined to come back out once spooked in mornings, as they are to get back out in the evening.

Has anyone got any thoughts or prefferences to shooting early morning or evening.

We acctually had help from a weasel yesterday, going in the warrens and flushing them out, never seen this before, the rabbits looked completely focused on the weasel and didnt pay attention to us at all... which accounted for a couple of bonus bunnies.

Early mornings are good, but as you say, they're not so inclined to reappear once spooked. Late afternoon is a good time too...

    1) Be vewy quiet, you are hunting rabbits.
    2) Get into an ambush position where you can cover 3 or 4 active paths or grazing spots.
    3) Get comfy, camping mat, drink, food, book, anything to make waiting easier.
    4) Wait, be patient.
    5) Do not shoot the first rabbit to show it's head.
    6) Shoot but do not retrieve.
    7) Wait some more.
    8) Shoot again.

Hot times round here seem to be early morning, 2pm, 5pm, 7pm, dusk....
