    Glossary for air rifle terms

I can't help but notice patterns in air rifle sales ads. I think I've worked a few out, but can anyone add more?

Mint! - Must include exclamation mark. Def: Ruined

    Custom - Def: Ruined

Only shot one tin of pellets - Def: (1) this is because the gun is so terrible or (2) A lie. Ruined.

Pellet on pellet, Esp. 60 yards plus. Def: A lie.

Ideal Field gun - Def: Ideal for the bin. Ruined

    There must be many more

Same with "Face to Face only!!" How many have I lost when they've sold to the first person asking if they'd post?

'Only had this a week': it does not shoot well but I can't be bothered taking it back.

'Only needs a cheap part from your local DIY shop to make it perfect' ... or other connotation on this theme. : I've tried everywhere to get the part and can't find it anywhere.

'Pellet on pellet at 30 yards' : I shot about 500 pellets this afternoon and found two shots where the pellet holes touched.

'Recently reprung'; just crammed a Cortina suspension spring in it, power is awesome but it jumps all over the place.

    How cynical can you be?

    Cheers, Phil

Is Tinbum a registered trademark? If it isnt then it may be being used as slang for a part modified from metal cut from a tin-can and fitted by a bum (worthless person), rather than the excellent delrin tuning kits made by Cornwall's finest twanger expert.

Classic air rifle = old, & it shows.

Future classic = So poor no-one bought them.

Reluctant sale = I'm fed up with it.

My go to rifle = I'm really fed up with it.

Still boxed = Why the **** did I waste money on that!

I swore I'd never sell this = but a new fad has come along.

In all fairness , you are probably correct.
He had heard off someone about Nicks kits and that this bloke had also put a sleeve from a beer can in his rifle. He possibly thought that that was all he needed to do .
He is the sort however that uses a steel dustbin as a chrono .
