    Crosman Pilnk-O-Matic up for auction

It's been interesting over here ever since the Bay started to allow airguns again. There have been some very strong prices paid for so-so collectables. Now, there is one of the grand prizes in vintage Crosman collectables Model 677 "Plink-O-Matic" in the box on the Bay (381652485697 ) It's the BB version of the model 600. Only made for a couple of years. Very rare. Probably 100 or more 600s for every 677 seen. With the great graphics on the box, it just doesn't get much better in fine Crosman Classics.

Hard to put a price on these things, since they are rare enough that there are few recorded sales. The Blue Book of Airgun Values puts a 95% gun at $450 add 25% for the box, so, $675?

I also copied and paste the above number on site and no listing shown. I have one of these 677 also with additional bulk CO2 gas fill cap. I paid £250 quite a few years ago. Have found it will fire certain pellets as well as the bb's. Have a long .177 rifled barrel that I am going to machine and fit at some stage.

You have to go to the US bay site where the item number works just fine. If you try the UK site, nothing.

Yes its got to be E-bay USA - where all the steel bodied Weaver Scopes are Huge amounts of gun related stuff on there that never appears on E-bay UK. E-bay policy forbids USA sellers from listing post details for the UK, despite the stuff being legal here. always contact the seller direct to see if he is willing to ship to the UK. E-bay trying to fit in with the cranky homeland security requirements.

the us site won;t search on the item number, but you can stick it into the url directly, ie..

    http://www.e6@y.com/itm/381652485697

(obviously the edit the "e6@y" bit)
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

This 677 seems to be on a par with the Yeti, seen by very few.

I've only seen one of these offered for sale on here in 10 years, and I snoozed, I lost Also at the time I didn't really have the hots for these classic era Crosmans that I do now.

Ah well a mans reach should exceed his grasp and all that

    Sold for $390

Not a bad price at all and probably reflective of it's true value.
