Target Sprint is an event where competitors run around a track and then attempt to shoot . A bit like biathlon but you don't run with your gun. It seems to be developing well in the scouts but there are also competitions for Adults. And even an over 60 class!
Target Sprint event - Leisure Live, Hersham Green, Saturday 9th July 2016

Elmbridge Borough Council is holding a community day - Leisure Live - on 9th July, involving a range of activities, including a Target Sprint air rifle and running event, which is part of the British Shooting Target Sprint National Series. The Target Sprint entry form is here: and the event details are in the poster here and on the Elmbridge site here:
. The Surrey Association is helping British Shooting with this event and a handful of volunteers (or preferably more) is urgently needed to help make it a success. We are looking for those willing and able to help with the air rifle instruction and marshalling, time keeping etc. It is, of course, also an ideal opportunity to promote shooting to the wider community, so please do come along and support the event in whatever way you can.

If you’re available to assist with some air rifle instruction and/or to help with the heat races and finals or just attend in support, please contact Gorgs Geike asap via: Events@BritishShooting.org.uk

We are looking for some help setting up and then when the event goes live from 10:30am – 3:15pm and with the breakdown, so help at any time during these hours would be greatly appreciated. The finals will run from 1.30 pm for the fastest participants in each of the categories and the winners will qualify for the finals in Cardiff later in the year.

PLEASE ALSO PROMOTE THIS EVENT TO ANY POTENTIAL TARGET SPRINT PARTICIPANTS BY PUTTING THE ATTACHED POSTER UP AT YOUR CLUB... AND FEEL FREE TO FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO ANYONE YOU THINK MIGHT BE INTERESTED. IT’S GOOD FUN…. WHY NOT HAVE A GO?
