Cool Sussex Interclub HFT 2016 - Round 5 Results

    Hi All

The Buxted boys did us proud (again), with a superb course set entirely in their two areas of woodland, with added lakes, drain pipes and tricky baffle boards to shoot over, round or through.

Very little breeze to contend with, but some wonderful range traps out there. Sufficient to confuse most of us except the extraordinary skills of the likes of Tugglet and Charles, each coming home having dropped just a couple of points; fantastic result, you two. Well done all guys … and ladies … among the Gold badge winners. Commiserations to the rest of us; just have to take home lots of (hopefully) learned lessons.

That’s all there is to this HFT game, lots of shooting and lots of learning. I just to need to stop the ‘forgetting’ bit. Doh.

Here is the full set of results …..

Please let me know a.s.a.p. if you spot anything you think is amiss.

Prize drawer winners today were :

    • Richard Chase – the £34 cash prize, and
    • Mariusz Morzuch – the Air Arms goody bag

Team scores today and cumulative points for Rounds 1-5 were:
    Club Round 5 Points
    Maldon 276 40
    Oaks 271 56
    Meon Valley 265 52
    Buxted 264 50
    Horsham 251 43
    Ford 233 38
    Iden Fern 232 28
    Swallows 220 33
Horsham and Iden Fern had to rely on ‘lucky-dip’ cards for the shortage of team members. And pretty lucky indeed they were, pulling a 52 for Horsham and a 50 and a brace of 48s for Iden.

Happy and safe shooting to you all ahead of round 6 of the 2016 SIHFT, which is in three weeks on the 10th July at Ford.

In the meantime, best of luck to the SIHFT participant crew returning to Buxted next weekend for Round 4 of the UKAHFT. For the rest, happy and safe shooting wherever you may be.

I love shooting at Buxted - really great courses, and even though I never score well (and today was certainly no exception!) it is always great fun. Well done Simmo and the rest of the Buxted crew for setting out a cracking course, and to Chilly for his company and ascerbic wit & humour

The best bit about today was learning that Meon had not only managed to hang on to 2nd place overall in the team league, but also pull one more point ahead of Buxted.

Very well done to Stu, Steve, Don, Justin, Dave & Kev - all of whom did their bit to keep The Hobbits at bay by just one point Am hugely proud of you guys, and big thanks are owed to you by all of MVAC.

See you all next week for the UKAHFT round

Thanks guys for a fantastic course, Buxted has always been my nemesis lol I have now finally broken the 50 mark there...

Looking forward to next week for the UKs even if I plan to make a tit of and embarrass myself shooting a springer lol but it's for a laugh 😁, again big thanks again to the Buxted crew all those involved in organising SIHFT.

Us Meon shooters are really enjoying the atmosphere, laughs and are improving our skills in these tricky courses as there's always something new to learn.

    Buxted yesterday

Many thanks to all the Buxted crew for putting on a great course, range traps caught me out good and proper!!
Well done Tugg and Charles on your excellent scores, and to all the other winners.
Thanks Andy and Mike for your company round the course - my only saving grace was that I didn't get a donut!!!!!!
Looking forward to the National next week - must remember to look twice at all targets then remember Andy's devious course setting!!
    Cheers, Jean
