Just a thought could you shoot
Ballistic tip or v-max at sub sonic

I've shot 35 gr v-max at subsonic speed, they don't expand to any real extent, similar exit to a subsonic 0.22 and you risk getting one stuck in your barrel, they are designed to expand down to 1500 fps like most V-max which is still supersonic.
    Thanks for looking

That's what I was thinking about expanding
But getting stuck would be worse

Especially if you don't realise as its subsonic and put another one up the tube, accuracy was terrible too, a bullet that normally shoots sub 1" at 100 yards would do 1.5" at 50 at best, you could hav a fast twist barrel put on to get over it but easier just to shoot cast or a .22!
    Thanks for looking

I've been playing with subs in the 6br, 75 grain HP and 70 grain matchkings at 1050 or thereabouts. No expansion at all but about 200ft/lb. I've ordered some 85 grain cast bullets to try.
