    Help on a HW110 anyone please ?

    Hi all,
Trying to help a buddy out ...
Been to the indoor range with him tonight ...with his new HW110 (.177)

After three hours, three separate shooters, a range of pellets, silencer on, silencer off, all screws nipped / checked, scope off a
previous rifle (working no issues) .....

Cannot get this rifle to group consistently.
May get three shots same hole ...then one low left 30mm away...then one high right 20mm away then one online but low 30mm away...
no consistency at all ....not what any of expected from a weihrauch !
Both magazines gave similar poor results.

One thing we did notice .....(not the HW100) ....the barrel band...it houses a grub screw either side at 20 to and 20 past the hour position....
one was sitting slightly out ...maybe touching the barrel ... the other not out at all
    which raised questions.
Why are they there ... unlike the 100(rubber insert to the barrel band)
Should they nip onto the barrel ??
Should the barrel float and not touch or be touched by these....
Are they an after thought to combat something ?

If anyone can help with either help for these grub screws ...
or is this a Friday rifle ?? or is anyone else experiencing the same ??

We are all quite surprised and disappointed ....
It looks to be going back to the shop !!

A shooting friend of mine had the same issue he just traded it in.
There is an issue with barrels at the moment on the HW100 also.

Just to make this clear HC are taking these HW100 back for new barrels to be fitted and as far as I can tell they have acknowledge a fault with the way the barrels have been threaded.
If all barrels are made on the same machine it could be an across the board fault.

    2 other things worth trying....
    1. a good barrel clean
    2. running it over the chrono to see if it is very inconsistent

Regarding the grub screws. I would wind them both out until neither touches the barrel and see how you get on with them like that.

    Hope it works out.

also found this on you tube after a few hours searching .....not relevant to the you tube vid from four years ago !! The Weihrauch HW100 S review and accuracy test for EdgunUSA
but a comment from only 1 week ago ..... Columbo eat ya heart out !

This is exactly what we have all experienced I believe .

Your accuracy is amazing.I recently bought the latest Weihrauch HW110.I've owned many different makes of air rifle in the past, including the HW100S (fantastic rifle), but the HW110 is seriously crap!I can't even hit a 10mm diameter target at 17 yards! Yeah Yeah, I know your gonna say it's me, but guys at my club have tried it, and they all agree. My scope is set up perfect, I've tried 5 different top quality brands of pellets. If the pellets were hitting consistently to the left or right then I'd just adjust my scope, but they are 5mm left, 20mm right, 30mm low and occasionally hitting the bull.I just can't understand what's going on, I've written to Weihrauch to see if they can shed some light. But any tips or advice from you guys would be appreciated (no offensive comments please).

Well guys you were spot on...
rifle taken back in to send for a new barrel exchange.....
Confirmation of a dodgy batch of barrels ....something to do with a thread ?

My HW100 barrel doesn't screw in .its held by that little grub screw at an angle behind the cylinder ...which you can take off if you need to
    nip it up.
So if the new HW110 ... and the HW100 are effected too .....are HW100 now changed to a screw in barrel ?

I am hearing of a recall too .... so if you have one ... " a dodgy one" ... you should hear something soon.

If your barrel is threaded from crown to end of cut for silencer then all is well, if there is an unthreaded part behind the crown and the thread starts about halfway down the cut, then it is from the dodgy batch!!

Now will all the Weihrauch fanboys admit that quality control at the company is absolutely crap? These should not have got out of the door!

    Hw110

Was in a local dealers yesterday and told there was a recall on the HW110 and some HW100. Poorly choked barrels and the bad thread already mentioned.

Bloody Germans! We should get out of Europe!

Damn - will have to check mine now, but I'm waiting for my ATN XSight HD to come back from being mended at Scott Country.

Think this combo might be cursed...

This doesn't sound good a friend had the exact same problem last week and sent the rifle back to SFS.
