    Hi Russ,

Thanks for taking on the MPL scoring job to cover for George whilst he is away on his motorcycle adventure - very much appreciated.

George will be entering the competition as soon as he gets back so he is not lost to the MPL but he is enjoying his adventure following his retirement from teaching and I know he hopes to plan further two wheel based adventures in the future!

Now we need to get a few more entries in - everyone is always a little slow getting started on every new series - probably because they know they can enter at any time ( one of the big advantages the "flexible" MPL series has to offer!).

I am sure you will do a good job and hope you do not find to too stressful

    Hi Russ

That's definatley a personal best for me in Rested Pistol, I've been shooting 260 to 265 ex 300 in practice.

First time using Geco pellets - my RFD didn't have any Hobby and wasn't expecting any for a while.

Now I'll be frightened to change back!!

    Cheers

    Paul,

A pistols/rifles pellet preference is always very individual, and sometimes just plain odd.

Chappies always seem to test the high-end pellets, and never think about trying the more economic end

They ought to, as they may be pleasantly surprised

I suppose very high end shooters have to guard against the possibility of the 'one-pellet-that-is dodgy' and could scupper a good score ?

    Have fun

    Best regards

    Hi Russ

I'm pretty sure all my shots that land outside the black are down to me 😢

But it'll be interesting to do a group size comparison - especially rested as this significantly reduces my movement. I can tell when I've pulled a shot - the rest is down to my eyesight and trigger control.

I notice that the Hobbys are a little tight in the breech compared to the Gecos.

But but otherwise they are the same weight.

    Happy shooting

    Paul
