    hw99s piston.

Is this in all hw99s pistons? http://abload.de/img/46ejn0.jpg

I gave my piston a good tap on the vice but nothing came out of mine.

I have put a new spring in that is supposedly a genuine hw one but its an inch longer than my old bent one.

Yes, very common! The new spring should mean you don't need them to make power.

Cheers guys. If I look into the cocking slot on the piston, the bit the spring sits on is level with the slots end. Does that mean there is a weight in there?

If there is one its held in with a small o ring. Try and wiggle it with a pick through the slot, if it wont move its not a weight.

That's the inside of my piston. Banged it on a vice and it never had any fall out. Tried levering it out but nothing moved.

Has it got the weight or is that the way the piston should be ?

I did lol. That's how I got the pics lol. Back together now. I got a kit of a friend. Konceptus I think he said. He got it for a Hw99s he was buying but never got the rifle. I have fitted it with out any preloaded washers as the spring was at least an inch longer that the one that came out of the rifle.

Only fired a few shots. Bit of recoil but it may be dieseling. Need to shoot it more. And chronograph it.

there was TonyL. Top hat ,guide , 3 washers of different sizes and the spring. It's only got the guide and top hat in just now.

Before I fitted the kit the back block was half way in the action. With the kit and new spring it's outside the action if you get what I mean. The original spring is way shorter than the new one.

Hopefully I will get it chronographed this weekend.

I used Ep2 moly grease on it. It's dieseling a bit and a bit of recoil. It would not do the pellet on the scope cap test lol.

As long as it's accurate for bunnies I will be happy.

https://www.dropbox.com/sc/mao9xvo9x...WM5pJiBlsDXACa that's the kit TonyL. The second pic shows how far the guide sticks out with the top hat in the piston also.i did cut a bit off the guide as I thought it was too long. It's the same design as the original guide. A tube with a washer . It's not one piece.
