Last FWB 65 made?

Per a post on another site, this was the serial number of the last FWB 65

"mod.65 (Manufactured 1965-98...145,000 total production)

Serial # and date:
146352- 1998 (data from FWB, the last mod.65 produced: courtesy of Garvin)"

I am in touch with someone who says he has serial number 146600?

Well the FWB ledger could be wrong, I suppose. The text of the email from FWB that I received was:

"Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email dd. June 09, 2014.

Please be informed that the first serial number of the air pistol model 65 was 1040 and the last number was 146352.

The model was produced from 1965 until 1998

Mit freundlichen Grüßen | Best regards"

FWIW I've just purchased a new-in-box FWB 65 with serial number 146508, as stamped on the booklet, gun and styrofoam packing case. The original receipt came with it - it was purchased in August of 1998 in Michigan, USA.

I bought it to satisfy a bit of nostalgia, having put at least 50,000 rounds through a couple different FWB 65s many, many years ago when competing. I'd certainly be interested to know how close to the end of production it was as well; I've emailed FWB.
