Hello again last year a friend of mine asked me if I could have ago at sorting his Diana 79
he said it was the last rifle that his granddad brought not long before he sadly past away and for the last 25yrs it had been left and forgotten in a shed anyway this is what he brought to me the following week

yep bit of a mess to say the least with heavy rust and deep pitts but I do love a challenge so stripped her down and started the prep

and after a few hours the cylinder was starting to take shape now I do all prep work by hand so no machines what so ever and must say I love it (er-indoors says I'm strange) anyway heres the end result

I did have some more pics of this project but my dog eat my memory card

Nice work there. I must admit I was expecting to see a Scottish Diana G79 rather than an Original. Is it a 35?
As long as its not cleaning the Oven !
“An airgun or two”………
I got a Yunkers AK74 last week, one of those Russian ones that are basically the real thing, made in the same factory but converted to co2. Its a beast of a gun weighing nearly 8lb, and I have had the happy job for the last few nights finding a genuine paratrooper folded AK case, cleaning kit, cleaning rod, strap and side mounted scope rail.
That was a job I really enjoyed!

Hi Ozgood,
Looks like a good rescue to me. What did you use to black the rifle?
Cheers
