    Cool Aeron b96 o rings

    Sorry, me again.
The seal on the piercer has blown, I know that it's 19x15, but what thickness , 1, 1.5 or 2mm? Also is it normal for these to blow so easily, I was told that was the reason that they give you two piercers, as you can alternate between the two, allowing it time to warm up ??

    Cheers yet again

I think I'm being dumb, are they 2mm, if so are some o rings better than others.

If you use#016 90 Urethane o-rings then you will have no further trouble

    You can get them here:http://www.sealforce.co.uk/

I have a Tau 7 with a similar issue, the o-ring in the piercing cap blows and looses all C02....after the first shot! Fitted new 0-rings direct from Sureshot, cocked the pistol to take any pressure off the hammer, but the same thing happens. This is not a case of a cold piercing cap/seal, it even happens on first use. It is an unusual design, having an o-ring slide inside the walls of the chamber (as opposed to the end of the chamber) with the expectation that it will seal successfully every time.

Might try alternate Urethane o-rings of a suitable size; I suspect a more rigid 0-ring might work better and also fill the groove better in the piercing cap.

Thanks...see above. What size are you using?

I too suffer with torn o rings if I try to swap a gas capsule too soon on my Zastava GP45.
The size of the seal is, I think, 20mm od, 16mm id which gives a 2mm seal thickness. I am not sure what the seal material is, (not original), but if it is in contact with liquid co2 for a long time, it swells by quite a lot. This was when I tore the seal, trying to get the piercing cap back on and catching it on the edge of the cylinder.
I have also drawn a blank searching for urethane o rings, does anyone have any more information?

    Cheers, Mark.

Just measured the spare o-ring from Sureshot at 19.05mm OD with 2.44mm thickness. Sounds similar to the one you are looking for Muzzie (~19mm OD, 15mm ID). Seems to be something wrong with my browser as I can not find any part listings or urethane o-rings on the site or on their bay link.

    Angry

Tried again this morning with the spare piercer, shot twice then makes a louder shot, then it's just like dry firing.
When I go to remove the co2 it is just slowly releasing air, the oring has blown again, I would have thought that the chamber would have been full of air, just a thought , could I be over tightening the piercer??
I think I read that your not supposed to tighten too much with the tool supplied.

Any ideas....running out of o rings, co2, ...and my love for air guns.

After piercing the CO2 are you backing of the screw cap a quarter turn to allow a free flow of gas?
