223 vmax question. COL

Just doing a bit of comparisons. Does anyone use 223 Hornady vmax 55grn in their cupboard? I'm after the OAL.

Are we talking Length of the bullet or the factory cartridge? I can measure the bullet, haven't got any factory ammo though....

From memory it's 2.250" but you may have better luck with a longer OAL such as 2.280."

Start off with the book OAL and increase the powder charge to find the best groups or most consistent strings over the chrono then play about experimenting with various overall lengths
