Popped over for a few hours visit to my mate in Lydbrook and we went into Monmouth for lunch - bloody packed it was and there was me trying to escape the crowds in London. Had a quick coffee and panini in Costas because the wetherspoon pub was rammed, quick check out of Millets 50% off sale (mmm, not great) and then off home.

I love Monmouth, very pretty town by the river but every other shop is either a chain or a charity shop like many towns these days and I didn't fancy the the sheep curry in the Welsh Speciality Restaurant
