You Cannot Reason People Out of Something They Were Not Reasoned Into
"Politicians like to panic, they need activity. It is their substitute for achievement" Sir Humphry Appleby
Sunshine levels, can effect some chrono's which is why you should always try to test away from direct sunlight.
???? chrono not worth spit or mental disability whilst reading data . to big a variation for sunlight.
Thanks for all the input
Think heat could be a factor but 500FPS difference is a hell of a lot
As for the chronograph it's been fine on all the rest up to243 and different conditions
Head work
keep us posted
Yes they are home loaded but never had that speed change with any home loads
Will try another batch this wee sometime
If it was one of the fold up ones, did you fold it out the whole way when you tested the batch the first time?
if a Chrony type is not folded fully out it reads fast.
also direct sunlight is a bastard for ruining readings.
"An infinite number of monkeys banging away at type writers for an infinite period of time will eventually reproduce Hamlet" Thanks to discussion forums we now know this to be untrue.
Yes it is a fold up one bit on a pod so got to open flat every time
It has Been fine but really hard getting read outs
I'm thinking it might need a service if they do one
Well just a update
Had some better read outs today but still low
3250 fps with 11.2 gn powder
So bit better now still all in an inch at 100y so groups are spot on
Clean the sensors & change the battery ?
Could it be that the bullet/case has been crimped at slightly different pressure so one batch has more pressure build up ?
if your press was sat in bright sunlight the die's would warm & therefore expand which would size the case fractionally tighter.
