    Best air pistol for youngsters

I help with shoot training for a pony club tetrathlon shooting club. We have children from age 8 to 17 shooting. We've just bought a second hand Pardini Kid for the very young members because it is light in the hand. We could have bought an LP2 Compact for the same money. Did we make the right choice?

    Pardini/Steyr

Having owned several Pardini's and my club at Aldersley owning several 'Pardini Kid' club guns.
I don't think you made the wrong choice.

The LP2 is still quite a large pistol. I think an 8 year old would struggle with the size and weight.
However, a 17 year old could probably handle an LP10 without too much difficulty.

Perhaps still get an LP2 compact.

The 'Pardini Junior' next size up to a kid is as large as most other pistols out there.

Why ask us? Ask the kid wether he likes the Pardini.
Downside with most Compacts is, that they're just downsized fullsize pistols. A shorter/lighter cilinder, maybe shorter barrel but thats it.
    Their not real youth guns.
I only have experience with 1 real youth gun, the Tau 7 Jr. Which is made lighter at EVERY front possible.
A real work of art and a réal youthgun, not just a downsized fullsizer.
Both Pardini and the Steyr look like simply downsized adult guns.
Nothing wrong with Pardini; had their .22lr, those are very popular
