    l am afraid this is not always the case that air guns in local auctions go cheaper now we have the power of the net.

    I bought a FAS604 from tw gaze that needed a complete re-build and seal kit and had bits missing. Was ok price considering, but not a bargain in the end.
    Local auctions have the biggest junk, be careful!

    Agreed you can get bargains at local auctions, but a Mk1, IIRC, should not have scope grooves, so that one may well have been mucked about with.
