    Weihrauch - New Pellets

    Hi All

I have just noticed on a well known website distributer that Weihrauch have released a new (to me at least ) pellet range in .177 .20 and .22. These have been called the Weihrauch FT-Exact range. Looks like they are manufactured by JSB.

I was wondering if anyone has tried any of these in their air rifles and what the results were. The weights of each are listed as follows:

    .177 - 8.44 gr
    .20 - 13.3 gr
    .22 - 15.89 gr

Seem to be reasonable prices but wondered if anyone has tried them in Weihrauch, Daystate or AirArms rifles.

    Thanks

    Ross

    Cheers for posting, Ross.

    I hadn't heard of these.

Subject to the usual testing to assess suitability, these could be good news. As a springer shooter, though, I'd probably give the .22s a miss as I prefer lighter pellets. I wonder if they launch a lighter "RS" or "Express" version?

    Hi TonyL

Ive just been chatting to one of the guys from my local range about this. He has bought some of these in .177 and will be testing them soon after delivery arrives. Hopefully I'll be able to post a brief review of what he finds (and what I think if he lets me have a few )

Those weights are suspiciously like the JSB Exacts and Jumbo Excats. Any pictures of them?

Yep, Having looked at the photos I am 90 % certain that they are JSBs. No wonder there is a shortage of JSB pellets.

The Weihrauch F&T in .22 are H&N FTT but 5.51 instead of 5.53 and the Weihrauch Exact are JSB Exact and again in 5.51.
I was told this by the importers.

I don't know if there's any difference in the .177 pellets

This information is correct. HW barrels are " tighter " than many of their competitors. I find most of the H&N pellets too tight for my HW barrels.

I've used the .20 calibre ones in my HW100 and they are excellent, very consistent results with no fliers, very tight groups but then I've had the same results with JSB's.

I've managed to speak to the chap who bought a tin of the .177 pellets today on the phone (did not come to the range as he thought it might be a bit cold outside ).

He said that he found them really quite good with his HW 100 T after leading and re-zeroing. Was getting very close grouping, near pellet on pellet, at 30-35 yards. He is yet to try them in any of his AirArms, Daystate, BSA or Theoben rifles. Hopefully this will take place mid week next week. The range we shoot at is 60 yards so will see what their like at that distance.

May not be able to test all the rifles (he does not bring them all at the same time) but will test what he has on the day and see how we go.

Weihrauch pellets are re-branded H&N, when I bought my FAC Rapid it came with several thousand of them, both FTT & Barracuda's, the batch number stickers even said H&N on them.
the seller had been living in Finland when he acquired them.

And, then, there are also these new ones, from JSB.
