    Weihrauch Concealed Underlever Rifle

Following on from a recent thread re concealed underlever rifles.....

And, spotting a thread on Firearms Reviews on the home page, relating to the HW66......,

Just had a look on the HW site and spotted the HW66 Jagd Match. What a beautiful, most purposeful looking beast. Maybe a little Prosport-ish?

Just imagine an underlever rifle thus based, especially with bearing internals etc!

I'd be at the head of the queue!

Don't suppose they'd ever see it as a viable proposition, mind......

I've had one of these in .22 H and with your modifications it would probably weigh in about 14lbs.
That mod from Yns Mon's been interfering with me.

Ooh, just imagine.....Superbly balanced (25mm or less) internals with synthetic bearings and such a high all-up weight, resulting in such a sweet firing cycle....yummy!

So, take one 77 with a full v-glide conversion - fit a full length barrel shroud with integral silencer, replicate what was done to a Tx200 to make it a ProSport - using retrofit bolt on underlever conversion. Make the underlever from pressed steel as per the Mk1 Airsporter...... Assemble it into a nice slim Walnut stock.......We should have a winner!!!

Oh shit don't say that, Tony won't be interested now knowing it wasn't thrown together by one of Hermans clowns

Instead of trying to redesign a rifle, why don't you just make a steel underlever to fit the Prosport and if it really pleases you then carve 'HW' on the stock and stamp a pointless safety warning on the cylinder

I had for some time been considering the HW 66JM as an upgrade from my current CZ452 however, when scoped up it is no lightweight being quite bit heavier than the CZ outfit.
My permissions are hilly and pretty large involving a lot of walking up and down hill and dale so I discounted this particular rifle.
It is however a terrific well built quality piece of kit !
