Currently reworking a previously resurrected basket case BSF S54
Some years back, it came to him incomplete and in a shite condition; most would have scrapped or tossed it (if you knew no better about the BSF S54).
Using his skills he had enabled it to shoot once again.
He had a cobbled up a functioning trigger that has been made to operate in place of an original. I imagine the chances of sourcing the correct unit would be begger-all but perhaps it can be improved on. If one was available please contact me.
The cocking lever link is one he made purely by instinct. It fulfills its purpose but the geometry is not quite correct.
He feels that the time is right for him to finish the rifle correctly. The parts he previously made by intuition, he is wanting to remake as exact replicas copied from images of the original.
I said that I would ask about on the BBS on his behalf.
Is someone with a S54 prepared to remove the action and send or post some clean, clear images of the cocking link?
In fact all over clear shots of the action would be very much appreciated.
Dimensions would be a bonus.
A BIG thanks for any assistance you can offer
