Suggestion for a first junior pistol

My son is really getting into air pistols and for his birthday he got some money. He wants to but an air pistol that he could maybe use for junior competitions. Someone has recommended a Gamo Compact. Are there any other good options for around the £150 mark (second hand)?

I just bought a Gamo compact for my son, it is a good gun and he is getting on well with it.
Look at the HW40, I shot one today and liked it. It feels much better made than the Gamo and groups well. Both guns knock out at about £115. If I had my time again I would go HW40 over Gamo.
